Specialist Areas - Milling and Burners
Pjd was founded on mechanical repair work to milling plant, PF Systems and burners on fossil fuelled power stations, as a subcontract provider of engineering services.
Since establishing main contractor status, we have expanded our expertise in this field of repair and maintenance, and now boast a highly trained and experienced staff, having the know-how and considerable experience with dismantling, repair, overhaul and assembly of coal mills, oil, gas & coal burners and associated equipment such as:
- Coal feeders.
- Coal Bunkers, structural steel, plate-work, and tiles / coatings.
- PF Pipe systems.
- In-line items, riffle boxes, dampers & control valves.
- Mill ball removal, grading and re-loading.
- Major Mill component renewal i.e. classifier.
- Air registers and wind-box components.
- Burner combustion side repairs, mechanical and refractory / tiles.
- All associated piping i.e. lube oil, reference lines etc.
We have extensive experience on horizontal multi ball type mills of the D9 type, as well as the more conventional vertical roller mills found on most power stations and other industries involved with product milling.
